Transparent tinted glass effect colours. For business and professional use.
During our research with the transparent epoxy resin, we also tested the resin with coloured pigments to make a variety of beautiful transparent colours. We wanted to create the effect of coloured glass while making a range of colours in blues, yellows, gold, browns, reds and many more. The result is a beautiful transparent resin available in many colours.
There is also the option to insert materials such as wood into the resin to make a unique optical effect. This process combines a transparent coloured resin and an encased material to create scenarios of strong visual and tactile impact.
We have created many colours that are suitable for the Low, Medium and High thickness casting resins.

High transparency turquoise and blue epoxy resinThe pigments we use are different from other pigments because they react with the hardener and therefore do not lead to softening or other defects that can be found when using inks.
The amount of colour in the resin is adjustable and is related to the intensity and depth of the colour you want to achieve. In general, the greater the thickness of the casting, the smaller amount of pigments will be needed. For 2 to 3 cm thickness, we recommend using about 2% of pigment. You can change this amount based on your testing.
The pigments developed by Cromas are vivid colours that allow you to create unique colour shades:
91007 ULTRAMARINE BLUE
91008 SOLAR YELLOW – Ideal for making gold effects on metallic substrates
91013 SCARLET RED – Extremely vivid and transparent
91019 AQUAMARINE – Ideal for water effect
91020 SMOKY QUARTZ – Black pigment ideal for burnishing and smokey effect
91023 AMBER BROWN – Warm brown colour
These pigments can be used alone or mixed together to obtain new colours, such as green and purple, which are easily achieved.
These coloured resins can also be used to make multicoloured castings where you see the unmixed colours in layers.

The use of coloured pigments with epoxy resins are easy for professionals and crafts people, but we reccommend that you always carry out application tests.
We suggest that you refer to the instruction manual of the resins you intend to use in your application. Our advice is based on our extensive research and testing. But there are many factors in this process, so it is always advisable to test each product before moving on to the production stage.
